Kayson, the Author

Today as I left to pick up the girls from the dance studio, I noticed Kayson laying on the trampoline with his notebook.  I paused to watch how much he had grown.  I watched him get a great idea, write furiously, then, read his great idea.  The expressions on his face were delightful.  As I turned to walk away, I heard the greatest belly laugh coming from him.  I have had a smile on my face as I think how lucky we are to have his humor and spirit in our home.

I Want . . .

This morning over pancakes Kestle' announced, "I want a banjo!"  What 5 year old wants a banjo.  When asked why she said, "I don't know.  Maybe I want a ukulele."  Who knew!  Where is Nate Keller (the only banjo player I have ever met) when I need him!

Minidoka County Fair

Tonight, some of the family went to the Minidoka County Fair.  We haven't done that before because we are loyal diehards of the Cassia County Fair and Rodeo!  Aubrey, our niece, was running for Jr. Princess.  Quaid, her almost 2 year old brother, was the Auby spotter.  He could find her anywhere in the arena.  When asked what he saw, he said "Poop!"  Thanks to a few horses. The highlight of the night was when Aubrey won interview, horsemanship and PRINCESS!  Yeah!!! We are so excited and she had a huge crowd to cheer for her.

Gentri, Kennadee, and Aubrey after all the stress

What a Day

Everyone should wake up with a plum 2 inches from their face at 6:30 am.  I guess Kes wanted one.

Kayson, who loves scouting, got his tenderfoot rank.  I had to bribe him with a slushie so the review board would get straight answers but 1 board of review down and 5 to go!

Slushie flavor: Super Sour Sour Grape!

The Bike

Yesterday, Kes was convinced her Dad had promised her a new bike.  The night before he mentioned how little hers was and that one of these days she would go over the handlebars.  This being said she dissolved into tears when he came home from work without a bike.  She proceeded to talk him in to "Checking the DI" just in case.  At 6:30 pm they headed to the DI.  Nothing found. At 6:45 they headed in to Walmart.
Dad: Now Rooster, We muight find a bike that will be perfect but it might cost too much so we will have to walk away.
Kes:  It's okay Daddy.  We can walk away to another store!
Now we have...

Something is Missing

All of 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th Creighton wore braces.  However, at the beginning of his Senior year, he will attend brace free.  It is a true miracle!  You must  wear the bands and remember your appointments! (His Jaw growing after he started may have slowed it down too)  They look good except where the lady chipped a chunk of the fake tooth off!
Cr8on's teeth are FINALLY straight!

The Explanation

We decided to start a blog for Grandma Rene and Grandpa Ferril.  They are headed on a mission to San Diego next week.  We are going to miss them but want to let them know what is happening here.
We have tried to come up with a name but Creighton and Cambree say everything is "Cheesy".  So I decided to embrace cheesy.  2 boys, 4 girls, 6 kids, 8 in the family!
I don't know how good I will be at posting but here goes!
